Nowhere did he so much as imply that he was visiting the
states for a fortnight or two and wanted to experience Sin City.

houyi, Flash has a bit of a rough 'edge' about him. He can be dismissive at times. He will also state his opinion in no uncertain terms as it they are fact and that there is no room for any other view. Don't take his style personally.

Although I don't know his status right now, He is an experienced, successful player and I grateful for all the experiences and wisdom he has shared over the years. I as well as many others have benefited greatly. As I stated earlier, I am thrilled to see him back posting again.

Everyone I've spoken to on this forum speaks very highly of Flash and I have no reason to believe he is anything but an expert in the ways of AP. I further believe this experience could be very useful in helping both new and existing players. This being said, I don't understand why this gives him, or anyone else, a pass to make unfair assumptions or make unwarranted condescending comments without being called out on it.

Flash has helped so many budding AP's in their attempt to make it. Many became top pros and many gave up. There is such a thing as timing. Those that now how many Flash has helped and how many more he has tried while asking nothing in return just don't appreciate people jumping on him as soon as he returns from a posting hiatus. Bjarg corrected him politely and respectfully to which Flash agreed and then a very rude correction followed by another poster now you are piling on with this foolishness. I guess in your book rude corrections is what is called for. That you gets you far networking with others. (sarcasm emoticon)

Not sure how what I said could be taken as rude. Most any objective third party would likely view Flash's tone as dismissive. I merely stated that fact and stated that I believed it to be unwarranted. Happy to hear your take on it.

Oldsters like myself, having come to age long long before the
Online Era can be guilty of what you are terming "rudeness"
when they are keyboarding to anonymous parties.
As some have pointed out, I am at times rather abrasive in
my tone; BUT I am a veteran A.P. whose altruistic leanings
have benefited many prospective A.P.'s worldwide.
