I disagree with using any of his paychecks for blackjack. He lives with his parents. He should be saving every penny he makes so he can get out of their house and take some responsibility for himself. After that he can worry about blackjack. Just my opinion.

Sorry. I was not aware of a step father. Interestingly, I believe the age at when a person becomes a step father is also critical. I became a step father when my daughter was very young and thrilled to have her call me Dad all her life. I just could not imagine my birth parents throwing me out of that I would throw out my own kids.

$1000/wk. is that before or after taxes? When I first started my job, I was very happy with the salary. Then I got my first paycheck and saw how Uncle Sam helped himself to a chunk of my pay.

I was "barred" from my parents home on the morning of my 18th birthday, with not a hint of this action before hand. I had 3 months remaining in my senior year of high school. It was a full fledged barring, complete with trespass act, not a mild backoff.

    KJ,
I believe you posted about this before, but did you ever reconcile with your mother or step father. I do think you once posted you reconciled with you mother, but never mentioned anything about your stepfather. Is your mother and stepfather still together? By the way, I do know of three similar situations that have happened.
