    ENHC games worthless for counting?

I remember simming a poor pen (2 decks cut out of play out of six) ENHC game with otherwise liberal rules (S17, DAS, DA2) and it gave me one of the lowest score's I've ever seen. Practically worthless. Do you agree that this rule, especially with bad pen, is crippling?

I'm a bit unsure about the proper usage of the term ENHC, but if it's necessarily dealer wins all, I would avoid it like the plague unless I was stuck in a place where all games were like that. However if ENHC includes OBO and OBBO (perhaps you would call this just NHC instead), that's not really much of a problem at all since OBO is identical in the important aspects (exact same edge and strategy).

The combination of ENHC (win all) with bad pen is definitely an abomination to the card counter. However, bad pen is amazingly terrible just in itself.

I am using the term ENHC to denote a game where the dealer does not take a hole card until after everything is resolved AND he takes all busted bets as well as doubles and splits in the event of a dealer blackjack. IIRC basic strategy for that game mans you do not take any doubles or splits against Ten or Ace except A,A vs T.

That game sucks as you found out yourself. I would not play it just because it is the only offering a casino made. Doing so just encourages bad rules and is not a fun ride for your BR.

Where dealer takes all, make sure you adjust your sim to reflect that you do not, among other things, split anything against ace, do not double 11v10 or 10v10.

You have to look at the whole situation. What are the other rules? What is the pen? An ENHC game with ES and a half deck cut-off is fantastic.
