I was told by many to hit VF because of the great games and pen. I asked around and decided it was not a good idea. If anyone could fly under the radar it is me but why chance it. everyone I know that went there a lot either stopped before they got backed off and decided to never go back or got backed off. Some got the ax quickly for small bets but they were rookies. I have played many sweat shops that have backed off lots of the people I know. don't play to often and i try to do everything that counters don't do. So far no backoffs. I got worried a few times and laid low for a while at one place.

Another I sensed they were going to come down on me so I pulled out all the stops and played a huge spread marathon no cover session. They offered me huge comps and a reserved table. I certainly didn't figure the heat right there. They did kick my ass that session though. I made a huge comeback and cashed out a happy loser of a couple thousand so perhaps that did the trick. I sensed I could have posted a win but by then I knew I had judged the heat wrong and figured I'd post a loss with a big grin for cutting my losses significantly just like the kind of ploppy they want playing in their casino would and play the juicy game later. I won loads more later.

My fondest memory was a small win when they gave me a free chip bonus of $100. I ran it to over $1K before cashing out. It was a small win but I never even had to buy in. The need to bet smaller to preserve the stack perfectly coincided with the right time to do so. After a couple hours of play he monster count finally happened and I had enough chips to go all in with the count until I was amassing max bet wins. Then I cashed out like I was taking a shot. At the same time I helped the floor shut up this really obnoxious player. Everyone loved it except the rest of the table who had been losing money like crazy. When I left the obnoxious lady asked how much I bought in for to see how much I lost. I told her I didn't buyin they gave me $100 in chips. The look on her face was priceless and the ear to ear grins of all the pit crew that had to put up with her made me welcomed there until I decided I didn't want to play there any more. The places juicy game went downhill. Why play a sweatshop once the juicy game goes into the toilet?

This part of the game that KJ has pointed out is very important. And you can't assume they don't care. A friend got backed off because se got upset about something and caused a little too much of a seen. they had been tolerating her play for a long time and obviously had her pegged as a counter. After the unpleasant few minutes they decided not to tolerate her anymore. The next time she went back she didn't even get to play a hand before getting backed off. She lost her cool and gave them a reason not to tolerate her anymore. She is a very hot babe and probably was given some extra latitude because she may help the casino bottom line by just being there. If you give a casino a reason to be more tolerant don't give them a reason to decide you are more trouble than you are worth. She also had the added heat follow here to other casinos.

However, that can easily be confused with casinos that don't care to look for counters, or are too stupid to know how to look for counters.

Outside of Las Vegas, most casinos simply do not watch red chip action. And some do not watch any action. These are the places you want to play. For places that are looking, but may be too stupid, figure out what they are looking for and don't do it.

For example, I have played at a place that I know a bunch of people have been backed off. I know they have active surveillance. How? Effective, low-cost camo that struck at the heart of the "tells" they were looking for.
If you're playing on the strip, a red chipper is invisible, but if you go to one of the off strip smaller stores, like Arizona Charlies, or even smaller, red chips get their attention.
