What Would be a Good Promotion for Both Player and Casino

Over the years I witnessed many different casino promotions. They ranged all the way from a 2:1 blackjack promotion to a worthless promotion that had so many conditions I don't think anybody ever won it.

I won as much as $7,000 on a blackjack promotion all the way down to some worthless promotions giving away beads that I didn't accept. I won pots and pans, coffee maker, gas cards, cash drawings (biggest was only $750), free hotel stays, and all the way from a single six pack of ice cold soda (went good on the banks of the Colorado River in Laughlin) to a shit load of soda pop.

I have seen some promotions really go over great and appears to have cost the casino very little. One casino offered a $5 buffet on a certain day of the week. The place was packed with waiting times of over an hour. Of course, some folks came to only eat and then leave, but others also spent time in the casino too.

Right now with the price of gas going up, I think some kind of gas card promotion would go over big and just might cost the casino very little.

Anybody have any good thoughts on a casino promotion?

Promo for MWP - Some time in September, just before the snow starts flying in your area, place a number of casino chips on your roof. Then offer a "shovel my roof, find some chips" promo.

Gas promo is what L'auberge du Lac in Lake Charles, LA offered! Funny story: was playing with the misses just this past weekend. Had 492 points, short a whopping points for a 2nd gas card............ was up like $65 so told myself.... well shit! imma just hop my ass to a doubledeck table, play for like 5 mins and with my average bet ($75) get up in 5 mins and get another gas card!!! in less then 5 mins i dropped $600 absolutely getting HAMMERED (we normally never play DD i guess this is the reason why lol) and even had to cash in for an ADDITIONAL $100 then i went to the table with! so went to bed that night down over $500 due to my chasing a bloody extra $25 shell gas card!!!!! Moral of the story, DONT GO FOR COMPS even if you're as close to 8 points like i was....... if i ever got that same situation again the best thing to do was just take my happy ass to the slot machine, play some $1 slots for like $20 max and i woulda probably accumulated my 8 points that way AND still be up $40+ on the night!

Good thing the blackjack gods were nice to me though and I got on a hot streak when i played the next day and won $700-800 in a hurry!!! made sure i'd leave the casino and WINNER and told my wife the story i just told YOU!
