My Ability in Blackjack is a Gift from God!!
Does anyone else notice now uneasy the casino people get when asked about counting cards and backing people off. I see it all the time in these types of interviews. Like they are walking a tightrope as they try to answer the questions and talk about counters. In real life when I talk to someone and they start to answer questions like that it is usually because they know they are doing something that is maybe not 100% ethical or legal....
Anyway just an observation. I think the general public is on the side of counters more than on the side of the casino's. Take the move 21 for example. After talking to many people that have watched it I find that if you say something like... "It really is just simple addition and subtraction and with practice anyone can learn to do it." Their eyes light up and they start asking questions. Granted they ask the normal questions you would expect but the intrigue is there. They get excited about the prospect rather than suspicious of counting. But why are there so few counters then?... For the same reason that people don't stick to diets or workouts, or do well in school, or can't balance their checkbook. They lack the fortitude and dedication... or they just are not motivated... or they are fearful of the unknown.
Bet he means "in the long run"..........something we ALL aspire to reach if we are not there yet.
That's an older you tube I had seen some time ago BUT it's interesting that she got him to admit "they make card counter's stay uncomfortable" and he discussed BP play.......simplistically but that they still mention it is funny.

oh, I believe lots of folks learned how to count, went into casinos without knowing other aspects of being An AP, did not have sufficient Bank Roll, did not use appropriate spread, over bet their BR and went broke. Insufficient knowledge is worse then no knowledge at all. The theory of counting works but to ride the roller coaster, you need a big bankroll, understand exactly how many units to bet per TC and more.
