join the crew.... i lost $4k the past 9 days...best advice is no advice...it simply happens..."losing big" is part of the "winning big" equation and I've had much worse losses...still positive for the year, though, even if i weren't, it wouldn't change anything (pissed, but accepting and still playing.....)....

assuming your game is "tight", IF YOU CAN'T HANDLE THESE SWINGS QUIT PLAYING AS YOU ARE NOT CUT OUT TO HANDLE YOUR RISK LEVEL.

    good luck

You can ask for a check.

To the OP , You are risking your entire bankroll in this blackjack journey . You win/loses are just part of the game .You seemed emotionally shaken from the "losing back the winning" where as your winning was not your real EV anyway. Remember you are gambling with your entire bankroll,it is not over until all is lost. Everything in between is part of the journey. I get emotional just as a lot of us do,that's why most are not cut out to do it,especially solo counter. Anybody that can do it solo at a reasonable stake is a plus in my book. I think it is very difficult to CC solo unless one has many good games and a healthy bankroll.

As long as you're tracking your results, ensuring no mistakes, and have calculated your estimated edge, you should be able to accurately track how closely to EV you are at all times. It can make you sick and feel the world is crashing, but it happens. The road to n is not a smooth incline. You've mentioned that you're making less mistakes now (which is good), and if you can verify no mistakes are being made and you're playing a +EV game, I don't think you have anything to worry about. Keep chugging along and track your results. I've had losing sessions, weeks in a row, with very high edges. It turns around, eventually.

    Almost surely not!

Played again last night, same old story. Lost all the bets that counted when the count was sky high. Was lucky to win much of it back later. finished only 215 down. Almost felt like a win. The train to Minusland has slowed, not stopped. And yes, I keep meticulous records.

I am aware of at least one world-class counter who went bust on a medium six figure bankroll!

I assume he was betting big. But it does not inspire much hope.

It takes a lot more than just the ability to count cards to be successful. It sounds like you aren't perfect yet. You should tread lightly if you are making mistakes. You want to learn in your kitchen not in a casino. Learning in a casino is costly. If you think you play perfect you will probably make mistakes for a while but that is when you should be learning in a casino. The repetition should make you perception of perfection match you actual performance. Too many think counting is all there is to it.

Remember, with a 1% ror, 1 in 100 will go to the wall. Not theory but fact. It's a risk we all have to accept playing to the long run.

Two of the I18 plays, +4 for 10 vs 10 or A. He also could have been doubling 11s vs ace (which is BS for some rule sets) and receiving a 9

If they do not resize their bets...

Just played another session, bet smaller. Same old story. Juicy shoes, lost just about every hand when it mattered. Got dealt 10s, 11s and pairs on huge counts and had to split and double. And then the dealer hits a 21. And on multiple occasions.

I'm over it. I'm continuing until I lose all my profits and then I'm quitting for a long time.
