    2*2*2*2*2*13.

There would be 26 patterns per 8 deck shoe. What are the odds that a randomly selected pattern would result in the repeating sequence of 16 rounds when played in baccarat and use 8 complete decks to end the last sequence? I submit it is mathematically impossible and one sequence would need to be incomplete(416/4 would be a 104 card sequence which is too many cards, the next available integer multiple of the prime factors is 8 which would be 52 cards which is too few cards. 16 rounds is between 64 cards (all 4 card rounds) and 96 cards (all 6 card rounds)). The factory or someone at the casino rigged the 8 deck packs of cards. The only motivation was to allow players to get a 100% advantage.
There may be a perfectly legitimate reason for the repeating pattern of cards as applied to some other game the card were earmarked for. They don't just sequence cards for their health, but also, they don't admit to sequencing cards if they have no legitimate reason to do so. Perhaps, and I'm just guessing, this is the pre-order for cards to be used in ASMs or CSMs. There may be a reason not to start with the normal A-K, K-A order other than criminal intent.

This smells like an inside job consisting of a team or blatant cheating of some sort. Then again the patrons may have won the money fair and square with no cheating going on. The casino got the kangaroo kourt to side with the kasino by saying the cards weren't shuffled which seems like BS. Either way I'm not surprised to see the Golden Nugget acting like a bunch of sissies after they got waxed on their own table, their own game. Cowards. The casino reneged!

Not cowards. Businessmen. If in the end it gets them overwhelming bad publicity, then maybe they made the wrong decision, but right now they are smelling like a rose. Their only goal is to make money. I'm hoping the counter suits for illegal detention, kidnapping and overall thuggish behavior will make them net losers.

Businessmen. Businessmen don't send in goons to pin people up against a wall for doing nothing wrong. They don't detain them against their will for 8 hours and search their property as if they were the police. I hope the counter suits end up costing the casino dearly for their unprofessional acts towards the treatment of their guests. They throw hospitality right out the window.

You should probably edit that to say "good businessmen".

That would be difficult to do.

And if the law enforcement wasn't bought and paid for, there would be criminal charges against security for this. If Wal Mart did this to someone, their employees would be doing time.

This is possibly the case, although we have no proof of cash or favors being exchanged for police "cooperation." There may also be an element of racism involved.

The NJ law requires the CASINO to shuffle the cards before using them. The order is designed to achieve random order with the least time required at shuffling. the laws are there to protect the players from the casino cheating wit cooler decks etc. The casino broke the law and the players are being penalized.

I don't even mean quid pro quo. The tax base from casinos is so huge that law enforcement is often forced to not take action against them.
