    Not recommended, unless you're playing a very worthwhile game. If the pit boss is hawking you, you already messed up anyway and should leave as soon as you get the chance and not return to that shift for a while. The goal is to never attract attention rather than try to cover it up after screwing it all up

    Yep. If you're getting heat, you should hit the door (usually). OR, try to convince them that you're a moron (rarely). Betting big off the top is not a very good way to convince them that you're a moron.
