Friday night casino trip

Just wanted to share a story with everyone. My friends wanted to go to the casino that I frequent last night so I said I would go with them. I usually do not go on Friday nights and I usually go alone. My friends are the opposite of advantage players and just like to go to the casino once in a while. So I met them there last night and I couldn't even find a parking spot. I finally found one and got inside and it was almost impossible to find a seat at a table so I just walked around and did some scouting of other games. When I went back to the blackjack tables I noticed every dealer was leaving less than a deck left after the cut card. I don't mean a couple of dealers. Every table had 90 to 95 percent penetration. I couldn't believe it. I realized why they were though after watching some of the blackjack experts play a couple of hands. You hit a 17 against a dealer 5 right? I'm pretty sure that was the general consensus. If only people were educated the casino could have lost a lot of money last night.

Almost impossible to find a seat. I played one shoe that got to a pretty high count and got lucky enough to be able to spread to 2 hands. It was so crowded there is no way there would be any heat. It is a pretty small casino and I could tell every employee was overwhelmed. When I colored up the dealer called the pit boss to check it and he glanced at it and said yep and the dealer gave me the chips and as he was taking the chips that I gave him to put back in the rack he realized he payed be 50 extra dollars and just looked at me and said enjoy your night sir.

the reason I'm not even halfway to n-0 is all the crowded conditions and blackjack paying 6:5 and csms , about 80 to 90 percent of the tables are scams ....I feel like saying, " this is suppose to be a "game" right?" , let's see who wins ? csms and 6:5 blackjack payout kills the " game" part of it , I even wish there was a way to show regular people ----, when you see a circular black machine at a table , you usually can't win , when you see "blackjack pays 6:5 " refuse to sit down , because unless its a single deck game , the best card counters in the world might have serious problems winning at that table - maybe they could make a hollywood movie with , moderate celebrities , showing the blatant scams , I'm sure they would have to have a romance in the story somehow ... but it would educate the masses , this is just not right....

I'm just starting out trying to my head around it all before I hit our (New Zealand) casino in Auckland, what did you mean "you hit a 17 against a dealer 5 " also they don't let you double on any aces at Auckalnd, can someone point me in a direction for a Basic blackjack guide that would cover those rules ? Thanks.

Hitting a 17 against a dealer upcard 5 was just a joke by the original poster. He didn't really mean it. There is a free book on this site, http://qfit.com/book/index.htm.
