Truthfully, in the larger casinos they generally ask me if I have a player's card and I shake my head, "No," and they either walk away (to the computer to input my data for the table) or they ask me if I want one, and I reply, "No thanks." The only places I really get hassled for not having a card are in the states that have just recently opened casinos with table games They can be insistent to a fault. I just say whatever seems appropriate at the time. But I am partial to the one about my wife wanting to see my win/loss statement on line. Actually, I could care less. My gambling bankroll is money apart from the bank accounts we share in. And she loves me to play rated because I do so in casinos that have good comps which she loves to spend.

To be fair, the IRS did ask him if there was any reason he felt this amount was incorrect. The IRS realizes that table game winnings and losses are not ironclad evidence The win/loss statement itself states, "Not for tax purposes."

I saw a pit boss reviewing all the DMV pictures on his computer screen when he thought someone was counting. He is patient, checking all the pictures one by one in the age group, until he got a match eventually. It would be even quicker if the casino has good software to do this job. So AP should avoid being rated from the beginning. Casinos scan the DMV pictures into computer database when they made you a card.
If an AP sees a suit showing this kind of interest in them they should be leaving and the guy would probably give up.

Ignorant, but I'll take the heat. What's the purpose of saying you don't have a players card?

They take notes on your play. If you play in an undesirable manner, they'll note it for next time, and may decline your play in future, or be quicker to back you off.
May the cards fall in your favor.

"What, are you crazy??? After the rude way you guys 86'd me the last two times I was here, I'm never using a card here again!" also works ;-)
