    Understaning basic Black Jack

    Hi,

    I just started learning the basics of BlackJack today.. the online Casino is doing a play/move which I dont understand/isnt logical according to what I have been reading how the game works... see attachment

    Once I click DEAL to start the game

    1. I was given a Jack & number 3 = 13 points
    2. The dealer had number 7 card and the other card is not revealed.
    3. I decided to HIT to try to get closer to 21 by getting another card. I get number 8 , now my card total 11 which is exactly 21 points which is the best score/blackjack and I WIN unless he gets 21 its a draw.

    4. Now the dealer plays he already has number 7 so he flips his second card and he has number 5 ..so 7 + 5 = 12 points...i believe he tries to reach 21 points to be a draw with me as he already lost the game at this point.. he gets an "A" of HEARTS which is 10 so automatically 10 + 12 = 22 points meaning he lost !!!! why did he take take another pick on another card to get the king while he had already lost the game ?

    shed some light please.

    want to get my basics solid
