I learned bs years ago and dabbled with counting before giving up on the game years ago due to lack of bankroll. Now that im getting back into the game im picking up the REKO count. Most of the casino's in my area are shoe H17, no surrender games. So I learned the shoe H17 BS and have been practicing that. Now after reading Modern Blackjack i notice that when you make your deviation plays at +2 , there are some plays that you would do w/ a h17 BS play anyway. For example 11vA and A8v6 calls for H17 BS of a dd, and 12v4 H17 BS calls for stand. Yet in the REKO deviation chart it calls for these plays at a rc of +2. My question is if you do these plays at only +2 counts using reko do you not play BS at a count <=2? Also how many basic strategy charts should one memorize/practice? Should I memorize the S17 chart as well as a 2d chart?
