Hey guys vegas bj rules suck where are the best games I'm from Kc and all our games pay 3:2 and there's no 8 deck shoes
As KJ mentioned, start doing research! KC isn't horrible if you can find a dealer that will cut thin; although, you'll need a large spread on the 6D. I'm sure it's bad in other places, but I could not play any blackjack table in KC without plops slowing the game down to place their side-bets. Without a doubt, better rules exist elsewhere; however, it'll require some effort to find.
You don't score, until you SCORE!
3:2 is a good thing, and no 8D shoes is also a good thing. The problem with KC rules is the lack of surrender and the H17. Beatable, but rough without a solid bankroll and large spread, requiring a very, very solid cover.
Kc is definitely sub-par for rules, but they don't really care about card counters on the east side (MO) as long as you aren't killing them, its the west side (KS) that can be problematic. Just watched a team crush one of the west side casinos for like 49k this weekend, and then the "BP" from that team decided to go rogue, from what I could tell, and took them for another 22.5k today and got nailed hard. Saw their "manager" in there the other night and I mentioned to a friend that the casino I was in, was about to get taken pretty badly. I even warned the "manager" not to do it "there" (he tried to recruit me a few months back as a BP) due to the lack of protection on that side of the state-line, as well as the fact that they have a very-very good card counter-catcher on staff who recently nailed an east coast team a few months prior. I don't blame him for trying though, that place was paaaaaaaaacked like I've never seen before, and just about anyone could have flown under the radar for a solid 2-3 days before running into trouble. So much so, that I ended up pulling four 24+ hour shifts this last week on the tables and other AP machine plays and made an absolute fortune.
noooooooo kidding. The Sweaty spaniard is always looking to make a face out of just about anyone, and I swear it feels like they are some kind of "recruiting" pool for "the book" to add faces to their "product" to sell to the casinos.
Go to bj21.com and order a copy of Stanford Wong's "Current Blackjack News" All the games in Vegas are located there. Spread your play around everywhere but avoid the handful of casinos mentioned frequently as "sweat shops" or who have no tolerance. Also avoid playing double deck in any strip casino that only has a few double deck tables and is mostly shoe games. Casinos that are mostly double deck and only a few shoe games (like many locals casinos) have much better tolerance and those that don't carry little negative repercussions if they back you off. Otherwise, until you know differently assume all casinos have average tolerance until you can figure.
I'd avoid playing
SLS
Cosmopolitan
Mirage
Santa Fe Station
Texas Station
Southpoint
Gold Coast
You'll just be wasting your time or flirting with getting yourself put into Red Hand/OSN.
Hope you understand what KJ is saying. I go every year and even though I get the current news, I walk for hours checking games. Sometimes a half day before I play. I still have fun holding a beer and enjoying the sights, but after miles I am glad to play a good game. I will not play unless the game is decent. I love Vegas!
