    Flat-betted

I was flat-betted minutes after surrendering, seems like they have the rule as a counter catcher at the club. I was using the ultimate gambit with crazy surrender after the dealer made the scream. But, left anyway after the shoe because I didn't see one pit personnel after the call. As I walked out after the store the table's supervisor nervously jogged all the way to me to inform me I was only allowed to flat-bet and that he noticed I was at one of there Vegas properties and asked if this is the first time I was flat-betted. I told him I don't recognize poker terms since he never mentioned blackjack. He seemed really unsure and nervously turned around and left.

I hit them again in the morning with another players card with no problem but no surrender. Is it a possibility that I can still use my Players Card that was flat-betted at other related stores. I assume they marked me as a counter. I would hate to be barred for the first time but under that alias I'm almost at tier 3 for comp benefits. What do you guys think?

If he would have approached me like that I would have told the table games supervisor to, "Go have a cup of STFU," in a nice way if that is possible. But I would not have returned the next morning, I would have waited awhile before returning so soon. It's possible they may not have labeled you as a counter, maybe just a smart player who has studied the game a bit. Your in Vegas spreading your action around isn't going to hurt.

Your card is done, forget about it. Avoid the personnel involved with the backoff for quite some time. Beyond that use your judgement.

It's what is known in the industry as soft barring. They know you're counting.

yep...unfortunately i know this by experience. once a casino that belongs to a chain "flats you"...that's it...if you use that same card, when they scan it, it gives them some sort of immediate "red flag".

Only if you're playing FAR outside of a pragmatic approach.

I question some of the guys here on the forum, and their ability to play this game BEYOND the numbers. Some of these guys here lately, have been so "hard up" about the numbers, that they forget that the ability to calculate advantages and disadvantages is only PART of the system, not the entirety.

Easier said than done as a lot of criteria need to be met.

From experience, you can still put in at least an hour playing unrated in sister properties. When you see a sharp looking dude in the pit, time to go.
