    Cashing Out

I have recently started playing higher limit blackjack and am practicing my REKO count. The last 5 visits (to the same casino in Indiana) have been very successful - with an average win of between $1500-6000. I am probably up about $14k for the year at this property, without a losing session... just been very lucky.

My question is, when I go to cash out, sometimes the cage will ask for my ID, sometimes they will ask for my player card (i'm playing rated... no reason to hide as I am not good enough at this point), or sometimes nothing - what are the thresholds for these different requests and why do they want them? I have noticed they want something starting around $2500 in chips.

It is casino policy. The amount varies by location but is used for CTR purposes and also to verify your play to make sure you didn't steal the chips.

You're up 14K, haven't had a losing session and you're still allowed to play? Why can't I get that kind of luck?

I would try to stay below $1500 per cash-out.

Just hang on to the extra blacks and purples. The gut-wrenching downswings will come soon enough, and most of those chips will return to the dealer's tray, leaving you dejected and full of unwarranted self-loathing.

if u play a place semi regularly, keep the casino buy in money in the cheques, chips, u have won. preferrably in green. don't let them color u up to purple if u can avoid it. sneak a few green chips into ur pocket when pit boss not looking. remember, casino worker shifts only 8 hours long....
