Can't stress it enough to people that the Casino itself will never be "Up front" with you, so you can't be "up front" with them. They will feel you out if they suspect you as a card counter. If you spook, offer resistance to them, they will nail you on the spot 9 times out of 10. But if you're got a solid cover and a solid set of social skills, you'll be able to fly under the radar no problem. "You're a really good player", well thank you sweetheart, I'd like to think I'd know how to play blackjack after getting my ass kicked religiously for 13 years now, etc. Comments like that will "get you places" when a dealer tries to feel you out as a counter. Responses like "Oh, I'm just lucky" or "thanks, I try" will only further heighten their awareness of your place, especially so if you make the amateur or paranoid mistake to leave, Wong Out, color up, or whatever option you choose aside from grinding it out and becoming a little sociable.
