Question Effect of Removal for Blackjack

    Hey guys,

I have computed the effect of removal for a single card for a 4-deck game. Would you be willing to compare your results with mine?

    Rules:

    • 4 French Decks
    • Dealer Hits Soft 17
    • Double after Split
    • Split up to four(4) times
    • RS-Aces(4)
    • 2 card Natural pays 3-2

Here is the EoR (single card removed out of four for each number) I calculated:

    • 2: 0.10%
    • 3: 0.12%
    • 4: 0.16%
    • 5: 0.19%
    • 6: 0.12%
    • 7: 0.06%
    • 8:-0.01%
    • 9:-0.05%
    • T:-0.13%
    • A:-0.14%

    NOTE: T accounts for 10,J,Q, and K.

    The house edge is -0.0495%.

Are these similar numbers you get?

I got similar EORs for the same rules on https://bjstrat.net/cgi-bin/cdca.cgi rounded to the nearest hundredth of a percent. However, the house edge I got was 0.4929% (since the player EV according to the combinatorial analyzer was -0.4929%), almost ten times your result.

This thread is a bit old, but it doesn't cost me anything to post the EoRs that I calculated several years ago. They are Total-Dependent:

    Code:
      4D,H17,DOA,DAS,SPA3,SPL3

    A -0.1392
    2 0.0983
    3 0.1147
    4 0.1520
    5 0.1798
    6 0.1196
    7 0.0639
    8 -0.0075
    9 -0.0535
    T -0.1320
    m -0.4975

    Sincerely,
    Cac
