    Casino At Disadvantage

With my new spare pair of glasses, I am now 20/20 at 2 1/2 to 3 feet! Some casino is going to be at a disadvantage.

I should probably get some glasses. When I change seats at the poker table, people ask me if I think I'm moving to a lucky seat. I tell them I'm always luckier when I can see what the board cards are.

Bodarc, how old do you have to be when you start "not being able to see" 3rd base cards from first base or vice versa? In one of my favorite local places, they use the regular cards.........not the jumbo index cards like most.......and with their lighting, I'm serious, it's hard to see across table sometimes to determine all the "pips" on the cards.........LOL And my eyes were surgically enhanced by laser to see BETTER than 20/20 supposedly.....Maybe they do it on PURPOSE. I have asked them about why they don't use different cards and they tell me it's too expensive to change. This is an INDIAN casino that to me can easily afford JUMBO index cards........haha.

I'm sure the cost between larger pips and smaller ones must be at least 3 cents a deck. I can see how that would bankrupt them. And as far as how young you have to be?.................much younger than me!

    Now that's funny Picasso
I wasn't going to post about this "problem" but I do have difficulty seeing across the table sometimes.
However, I'm going to tell my D.O. at my overdue annual that i need a pair of glasses for that exact range.

It's good that you have 20/20 back. All of the houses that I have seen use Jumbo sized cards in your locale. I prefer the standard sized cards vs. jumbo, but the jumbo decks are just as easy to count in my opinion.

I think so Bliz. It really makes no difference. I already had 20/20 in my right but my left was 20/30 with a little astigmatism so he said I was only using my right eye mostly so it works well now.
