    Blackjack computer

I remember in the 70s/80s Taft created multiple computers to help him win some money. Throughout the years, other players have also used computers to aid them in beating blackjack. Of course, since Nevada outlawed blackjack electronic systems, many players are thrown in jail when getting caught. Although, there are a few who still get away to tell the tale of making millions by cheating blackjack.

If a player were to create the most sophisticated, hidden stealth-like blackjack computer now days, what all would be involved to beat the casino?

I know the computer would have to some how analyze each hand along with single-double-multiple decks and be able to count in card shuffle analysis. What else could someone do to actually beat blackjack with a cheat device?

    1. A computer would be inferior to an experienced AP as it could not sense heat.
    2. A computer is illegal. I continue to insist that violation of laws cannot be advantage play because it exposes you to rather extreme negative EV.

So, I'll play devil's advocate in this one, just for fun:

    1. Suppose heat were not an issue; and
    2. Suppose the venue had no anti-device law, and what you were doing was not illegal.

My contention has always been, especially at the shoe game, that the gain of a perfect-play computer over a highly skilled counter, using a sophisticated count, is not at all that great. We already have counts like Halves with virtually 100% betting correlations. Strategy departures simply do not surface all that frequently to make the computer orders of magnitude superior to the human mind.

Yes. A few of those may not be good places to stretch the rules.
