    single Ace vs two Aces

Can someone tell me the advantage of having a single ace vs a pair of them.
You are dealt two Aces, but because of a dealer miscue you have the option of giving one back and playing the hand out, keeping the two aces and splitting them or surrendering the entire hand for a full refund. Whats your advantage in going with the first option vs the second option. Dealer has not yet drawn his second card so his first card is still unknown. Usual American rules apply.

Great question. My gut is to give one back. It will be interesting to hear the actual math and reasoning behind the correct play.

It really all depends on the rules after splitting the aces, if you only get one card after splitting them then the single ace is better however on the other hand if you can hit or double your split aces having two aces is better. See below for the quantitative numbers.
