How does he get away with it?

I've been on a table recently at one of my regular haunts with a guy who is one of the most blatant cc's I have seen. I am wondering how he gets away with it.
He will bet 10 off- the-top on one hand and never increases his bet until the count teaches +2 or higher. In moderately big counts he moves to +75 x 2 or 100 x 2 and when it is sky high goes right up to 250 (occasionally 300) x 2. He plays all hands perfectly.
Other regulars tell me this guy has survived many years at this casino playing this way. I am puzzled as to how he has lasted so long. I am certain he manages to rathole a lot of trips to make it appear he is losing (or has only won a small amount) but any average casino observer should be able to work out what he is doing.
I would never dare play this way and if you did it in Las Vegas I am sure you would quickly be shown the door.

You call that blatant? You ain't seen nothin!
In any event, what you're describing isn't optimal. It could be gas some other qualities that endear him to the house - like blowing his brains out on tilt when things go haywire. Or, as you say, he's a master ratholer.

Apologies, just added this on my optimum line - I'm equating that to my standard game - I have no idea as to your rule set.

He plays rated, was an awful played when he first got a players card, his won/loss record for the first year of two showed a losses in the thousands, he established himself as a loser and then he got trained by Freightman or T3, attended some boot camp and now enjoys the benefits of his earlier losses. Reputations tend to last a long time.
