I've read the theory of blackjack as well as bja and I was wondering what other titles you guys would recommend for a 6deck proper rule game

One of the top books for 6 deck shoe games that some people overlook is "Beat the 6 Deck Game" by Arnold Snyder. Good for all balanced count systems and any sized bankroll. The book provide charts that shows fluctuations you can expect in hours of play with any bet spread. It talks about the frequency distribution of counts.

I like bigplayer's list a lot but I would add BJA3. I just keep going back to that book over and over again. The only bummer to me is that it is not digitized so it's hard for me to find stuff I KNOW is in there but I can't remember where it is, exactly.

I bought some special book markers that you can fold onto a page and I use them to mark pages with info that seems to come up in my mind over and over...

The OP wrote "bja," which, we hope, is actually BJA3. In any event, bigplayer didn't list it because it was already mentioned in the original post.

Have you tried the index? Specifically, I would like to know what you reference often but that perhaps is not indexed properly.

Yes, I think the OP should get BJA THREE and read it carefully.
I just had this happen a couple of days ago and I'm racking my brain now trying to remember what it was. I think it had to do with 6 deck shoes but I can't recall the specifics now. Whatever it was, there were MANY references (maybe 10 or so) in the index to the general topic. So, I spent a long time going to EACH PAGE in the book (or group of pages) that had been referenced in the index and scanning for the topic in question to see if the phrase I vaguely recalled reading was covered so I could find the tidbit of info I wanted.
If I had a search ability, I would have found the phrase in very short order. I don't know that the index can really be improved. This is a common problem I have with paper books as opposed to digital texts. OTOH, I love paper books because I'm old.
If I can recall the specific situation, I'll post here further in case it will help.

I remember that my issue had to do with Kelly betting because I had just read an article purporting to "debunk" Kelly betting and it was on my mind. It might have been more specifically to do with FRACTIONAL Kelly betting. I just looked and there are 19 entries in the index for "Kelly Criterion" and nothing in the index for "Fractional" anything. There is 1 reference to "money mgmt" but it is for teams, so I probably went through almost every Kelly reference. I'm not sure I ever found the answer but I just can't remember right now exactly what the question was. (Sometimes I get side-tracked by something that catches my eye as I scan.)

I don't know how you "fix" this in a paper book. The index ends up being bigger than the book at some point...

BTW, the author of the Kelly article I read has a web site called "professional gambler" dot com and sells a newsletter. I was amazed that he argued that Kelly was a progressive betting scheme like Martingale and, as such, it does not work. He specifically mentions how Kelly "under-performs" average flat betting in Blackjack and attempts to demonstrate his point with a simple card game. His argument is not persuasive.

I would purchase a Kindle version of BJA3 if it became available, just for the ability to search from my laptop or from my phone.

The author of that article is an idiot. In any event, there isn't a great deal about fractional Kelly in BJA3, but if you remember what you were looking for, let me know.
