Great first post, but there are two states in the continental 48, not just one that has this law.

They still use countermeasures that will make you choose not to play because they make playing not worth the time. New Jersey is one such state. I am not sure about the other so I won't state what I think it is from fuzzy memory. The info isn't terribly useful due to my first sentence.

New Jersey and Missouri and both can still take other countermeasures against you that have the same net results as a backoff. They can move the cut card to halfway (or worse) they can shuffle at will, and NJ can put a variety of bet restrictions on you.

I've had colleagues in MO that have had 5D cut off.

This has always seemed wrong to me. Being able to shuffle anytime the shoe shifts to the players advantage. Just doesn't seem right.

They almost never count the shoe down. They shuffle the shoe whenever you raise your bet by an amount more than they are comfortable with which if they decide you're a genuine threat means anything more than just chipping up. You can jack your bet in a negative count and often get them to shuffle but the best thing to do rather than sit there and play games with them and burn your face into their memory forever is to just leave for 6-12 months and come back fresh.

Thanks for answering my questions guys! I guess it is not worth the trip to go visit the casinos there even though they can't bar you! it is just injustice for them be able to bar you for whatever reason! I have experienced two back off in the casino in MA already and it is so upset and discouraging for me go go back to the casino.

This brings a question . How about a poll for recent "heat" level . Is it up ,or is it down ? It seems like i am seeing a lot more heat and attention lately even from tiny stake play never mind the green and black chip level. OMG, utterly paranoia .

In only a certain area? Or spread out geographically?
