    I would actually recommend back-counting shoes on the strip for your first visit to Vegas. Less likely to get backed off.

    I was using my players card the whole week I was there hoping to get comps for the next time. I was very surprised when I got home and went on the site of the players club and saw that my wins and losses at the various casinos were close to spot on. A bit unnerving, however, doesn't not using a card put up flags? Not to mention those comps are worth $$.

    Card rating is hit or miss depending on the place and whether you visit there a lot. IMO, if you don't visit there often, have your card rated. If you win a bunch, they'll toss you some comps, if you play a bunch while there, you can ask for comps, and unless you burn them to the ground, I doubt they will even suspect for a moment what you were doing.

    Then again, if I lived there, it would be a different story.
