1. CBJN has current, correct information for your "region". If it saves you a tank of gas and a few hours of scouting, it is worth the price.

2. CBJN's information for your "region" is outdated. In that case, you can update the information and likely earn more than the $15 cost of the single issue.

Thus, it's +EV either way!

Dog Hand, thanks. As a guess, how often would you say that its up to date versus out of date. I live in the Mid-Atlantic. ATL city is notoriously bad from what I've read so I might be scouting casinos up and down the east coast as well as some distance west. So its a pretty big tank of gas.

The bright side is when you know nothing, anyone who knows something can help you. thanks again.

First of all, I've never played in the East, so I cannot comment from personal experience.

However, the March 2015 CBJN lists 28 "areas" in the East section. Some of the areas are large (like Atlantic City, Delaware, and Philadelphia), while others contain only a single entry (like Grantville, PA and White Sulphur Springs, WV). All of the large areas have been updated in 2015: in fact, AC and Philly are dated March 2015. Overall, all but 6 of the 28 areas have been updated in the last 6 months.
