What happen when you get caught backcounting in Atlantic City?

I've been reading about the game conditions in Atlantic City casinos. In some casinos penetration for their blackjack games has improved but with Atlantic City hitting on soft 17 and with 8 deck dominating. In order for the game to be profitable to the AP one must backcount on games like 8 deck H17, DAS, No LS. If we play all in those games it will be a grind. The sad part is that I couldn't find 6 deck games with $25 limit anymore and penetration is like 75%. Plus playing the upper limit table with no mid-shoe entry might not have better SCORE than backcounting and wong in at positive counts.

I will not make it obvious that I am backcounting their tables but if for any reason I get caught doing it what will happen at worst in AC?

They can limit you to a flat bet or get out the $10 to $50 card and post it on your spot. Unless you do something that causes a disruption they can't bar you. They can half shoe you and I think they can find a reason to shuffle when you sit down. Basically they make you not want to play. You always have to worry about information sharing and getting flyered or data based but that usually doesn't happen if you politely leave when a countermeasure designed to make you want to leave is used and you don't come back. I know some players that had them wave the bet restriction sign when the entered the pit area before even approaching any tables.

If you are back counting and only play in positive counts a 1-5 bet spread is enough to beat the game.

If you Wong in you can flat bet and beat the game. That doesn't mean it's worth it.

Several casinos in AC (Showboat & Ballys) just converted many of their 8 deck games to 6/5 payoffs. Gonna get real ugly in AC unless you can afford to play $100 minimums.

I noticed that all the tables at the reopened Wild West were 6/5. Bally's seemed to still have the same # of 3/2's though. But I could be mistaken.

Not sure how anyone would go there to play 8d h17 no ls 2/8...I think by the time you factor in the chance of getting robbed as well as the health impacts of breathing Newport smoke at those places you would be better off collecting cans.

What will usually happen is you will get acct flagged and prob no comp no mailered at the stores that share info.

I was in Harrah's two weeks ago and I counted 12 eight deck H17 tables that were 6:5. They are mixed in with the 3:2 tables and it was quite obvious to me that this was well planned to lure unsuspecting players.

The tables at Wild Wild West are in a party pit so you have to pay the tax. At least they didn't sneak them in like Harrah'd did.
