Not unless I had additional info. I may not drop automatically if winning due to camo considerations, but I don't press higher.

Usually the answer is no, but if I'm betting $25 and win 3 or 4 hands in a row on a shoe game and the count is neutral to mildly negative I might start adding $5 to $10 to my bet after each win. On a double deck game when the count drops and I'm betting low I just act distracted and keep making the same bet as the shufle will come around soon enough.

I've tried doing that and I just couldn't make enough money to make it worth while.
You have to have a pretty big spread to make money doing that, right?

Negative counts= losing money. Why increase your bets and lose more?

I can think of many reasons and all of them involve winning money.

No, I'm not very much wrong. In theory negative counts alone lose money. That's why we don't play them. Sure you can use indices for negative count play to make it playable but it never gets to the same plus edges that positive counts do. It's pretty much a "treading water" deal for play all players.
Beyond that, all you'll gain is cover and how much do you want to pay for cover?

Please elaborate. Are you talking about the use of Sting? That term hasn't been used in this thread before right now.

I raise my bets in extreme negative counts for Spanish 21 because of the multi-card bonuses for drawing to 21.

    True.
    Nevertheless, your statement is wrong.
Dont really want to elaborate since you already know why and I dont want to hijack the thread (like you said those subjects are not what's being discussed here).
Just wanted to point out the fact that that comment is erroneous.
    Cheers.

Never. I'd never press bets on something that doesn't have an edge.

On DD, it's probably best to just play it out betting minimum. On six-eight, if the count is really negative, it's probably best to get up and go to the bathroom until the next shoe.

I guess it also depends on how negative; if it's not too drastic, it may be worth it to leave a slightly larger than minimum bet out for cover purposes.

Enough of the "wrong and/or erroneous bull****!!! In a straight counting game (which is the context here) my claim is right on. Norm provides a SEPARATE forum for advanced play that includes shuffle tracking so if you want to change the context here, make it clear instead of trying to play your cute little "gotcha" game.
Using your words, "we all" see that it isn't working very well for you.
