    Dating personell

I was curious if anyone has ever dated a dealer or pitboss at their local casino? Are they even allowed to date players?
If you have, how did that go for you?

I was at a table where a brand new dealer was working her first week and her brother and a couple family members walked up to chat with her. One of them was about to play but she immediately stopped dealing and called over the pit boss to inform him that the group included her family members. The pit boss told them that they were not allowed to play at her table due to possible cheating. I think he recommended that they even play in a different pit area than the one she was working in.

I believe that if the pit or management finds out that a player is connected to a dealer/pit by family or in a relationship (and they're playing at their table/pit), they can get fired for not immediately informing their boss. It is the dealer/pit's responsibility to make sure that doesn't happen.

Without knowing the casino's exact rules, I would surmise it's ok to date a dealer/pit boss, but you just cannot play in their area. It might be best to play when they aren't even working. You can't prohibit an employee from dating, but you can fire them for breaking rules......

I've done it several times. Just don't ever get stupid and tell them that you're an AP. Nothing last forever and when your wand gets done the dealer might blow your cover. There is a lot of stuff for the two of you to do in Vegas without having to gamble.

I think its most ridiculous rule ever. How can they cheat when eye is everywhere especially when players are relatives....
Only thing when dealer makes errors casino stuff never know was it intentional act or no

What a lonely life for dealers. My game is too good to give up to pursue them. -_-

The Tran team is notorious for corrupting dealers to cheat for them. They make millions. Some well known cheating that has occurred in AC has netted millions in a very short time. We are measuring time in shoes here not hours. More often the take is a slower bleed over time.

Players dating and even being married to casino employees happens. The players generally don't play that casino anymore as a courtesy to their spouse. It's not just floor people, I know one host married her high roller customer and promptly quit her job, and I know one AP who is married to a waitress at a large casino so he no longer plays there. Another AP fellow married a lady pitboss in Reno. The problem isn't the relationship, it's the breakup. If it's a bad breakup you run the risk of the spouse ratting you out, but then again you really have a similar risk with a non-casino employee spouse picking up the phone to call the casino and inform on you. Biggest problem though is that your AP associates will have a tougher time wanting to do business with you.

Still, it's a good idea to keep people you date in the dark about the true nature of your casino business until you're far enough along....it's an even better idea to look for dates elsewhere.

I dated a couple dealers when I was young and single. It was just too weird when they kept calling me "John" or "Sam" and asking me about my import business.

Your funny, RWM. Sounds like way too much trouble just to get laid a few times. (obviously you weren't going much further than that, since you couldn't even tell your name).

Now I don't have any experience 'dating' someone who works in the casino industry, but I do now have 2 friends that work in the industry, one that I consider a very close friend and I don't see the 'friend' situation as all that different. In my case, my friend laid the ground rules early on in our friendship that I was not to play at his casino during his shift. This almost has to be the arrangement. Anything else is just putting him in jeopardy and a true friend doesn't do that.

No. Youd have to wait till their shift is up probably.
