Insurance is not working with my simple strategy.

    Hey Norm, me again!

I designed a different Basic Strategy to test some things. I created some indexes using High-Low count system for a specific game in CVData and, afterwards, began substituting the indexes by a fixed decision in each situation.

After I was satisfied with my strategy, I began testing it.

I then decided to test insurance at different counts, never insure and always insure (I used -50 as the insurance index to do that).
I set the insurance indexes in the Insurance Decks Tables and told CVData to use it.

Well, I noticed NO difference whatsoever using the different insurance tactics, so I decided to investigate further by looking at the Hands Types Won/Lost statistical table.

There are NO numbers for the insurance in ANY of the situations!

Any idea what I might have done wrong?

    Thanks in advance.

Do you have insurance turned on on the Rules page? Do you have No Indices turned off on the Strategy screen? If so, go to Tools-Export and send me an export.

    Hey Norm!

I don't have "No indices" on the strategy screen in CVData, only at CVBJ. Actually, that's something I meant to ask you since a long time ago...

But I am pretty sure you found the answer anyway: I don't think I have turned on insurance on the Rules page!

I thought that you could always use insure. Are there blackjack games where you can't?

I am not at my computer right now, but as soon as I get to it I will check it. But I am 90% sure that's the problem...

    Thanks a lot!

UK used to be insure BJ only; although the law now allows insure and some casinos have changed the rule. Double Exposure has no insure, for obvious reasons.
