    whats after card counting

Hello I've been playing bj on and off for about a year and finally decided to study the game the past few months. I have counting and bs down cold to the point where its boring at the tables. I'm thinking of shuffle tracking or ten manipulating next. Or hole carding but have no idea how people do this (I even have exibit caa and still don't get it). Or keeping another count for lucky lucky. What shoudl I do next?

Read as many BJ books as you can by reputable authors. Read between the lines. If exhibit CA cranks out the numbers for something it's because it's been done. Think about how they might be doing it and then when you figure it out keep it to yourself.

There is no default "next" option. It depends on your conditions.

If there is a weak shuffle, learn ST.
If the dealer exposes the HC (or you can figure out a way to), learn HC strategy. This will take lots of scouting.
If there are no extra opportunities on BJ, you could improve your count, although that won't make much of a difference.
Could learn VP/slot progressives, or something else new!

It really depends on the conditions in your area which can vary even by month. If 6/5 SD BJ, M Stud or U Texas are popular in your area with many tables then there may be some good HC opportunities (to me these are the only common games that are actually better than counting BJ). As you have CAA you might as well learn the strategies for those games, I found doing so to take much less time than learning to count. I am not good as a spotter at all but if the game is great I am perfectly capable of getting the HC and racking up some EV on those games. What tends to happen with that though is that if the games are TOO good eventually HC teams will blow up the games, which then sort of take a while to regenerate.

HC play is fairly boring as it is 80-90% scouting. Personally I think EV/hour is better straight counting, unless you have a large team of scouts supporting you with many games where you can get action down. The benefit of HC play is that most casinos are still clueless about it so the heat is a fraction of what you would get counting, although they are wising up due to Jacobson and others. What you can do is head to a casino, scout out the possible HC games, then play regular counting BJ if no good games are available. This does have the downside of getting you heated up which could hurt your HC play opportunities at that casino in the future.
