Does drinking reduce heat ?Last times i had some beers and i had more enjoyable sessions. I didnt care about pit shark eyesight and my actions were more natural
You need to worry about these things. If drinking keeps you from what you can do without drinking or alters how you play it is hurting you (assuming you play optimally to begin with while maintaining awareness of your surroundings and seeming indifferent to cards being dealt). If it makes your lips move while you count or affects your judgement you should avoid it like the plague.
The best way is to appear to drink without actually ingesting alcohol. Get a drink while playing video poker or slots. Go to the bathroom, pour most of it out and half fill the glass with water. Finish it while at the table and order another then take a sip or appear to do so. When you leave the table, go to the bathroom and repeat the drill, as often as necessary.
The commonly mentioned problems with actually drinking is loss of concentration and loss of self-control (discipline). Some people can drink without these problems. But, another problem that may be overlooked is that your focus tends to close in. That is, you are very aware of what’s going on at your table, but less likely to be aware of what’s going on in the pit and around you.

No way to know if it reduces heat but having a drink in front of you can help you appear to be a typical gambler. Maybe limit your drinks to 1 per hour and that should keep you from getting too tipsy. You can always act more intoxicated than you are although appearing too drunk could draw unnecessary attention. I usually have 1 beer per session which lately is less than 2 shoes before moving on.
I will usually have a beer or two during a session that is in the afternoon or evening. I usually drink liquor when I drink so a lite or ultra lite beer doesn't have a big impact on me. I feel that it helps you blend in and gives the "I am here to have fun" perception.
You should practice at different levels of drunk to check for accuracy. You can create an index for how many drinks per hour you can handle and still be accurate with your count.
One of my favorite drunk acts is when I wake up early in the morning (5 am). I will stroll through the slots and find and empty beer bottle or mixed drink glass then head to the table. Most people that are playing at that time are usually pretty sauced. After pretending to fall asleep at the table a few times I will order a coffee or red bull.

Don't judge a man until you have walked a mile in his shoes, by then you are a mile away and have his shoes.
Yes it most definitly reduces heat but you must act acordingly to a drunk on top of it. Slammimg chips into the bet circle after losing a bet(drunk anger), bring the loudest at the table or at least the most talkative, fist bumping each player at the table or congratulating them after the dealer busts and everyone wins. Things like that, that make you look like a drunk degenerate just there to have some fun.
Lastly always make sure you can get a glass bottled beer, like a corona for example, as these are easily distinguished by the pit boss and surveillance that you are indeed drinking alcohol. Or you can always use mofungos strategy if its just a normal can or bottle and not see through and just fill it up with water, drink it, rinse and repeat
If you are actually being observant at the table a mixed drink will be served with accompaniments that a NA drink isn't. All casino employees know if what you have is alcohol just by looking at it. If you are going to try to fool them you better figure out what the casino uses to tell alcohol from NA drinks.
