    King James Grosjean (blog)

I haven't specifically bookmarked LVA website so I can read King James blog, but usually someone on one of the sites links to it, so I end up seeing it, so you will forgive me for making a topic of his latest blog 3 weeks after the fact.

    http://beyondnumbers.lvablog.com/201...hen-i-do-this/

The first week in February, I posted on BJ21 about my first back to back losing 5 figure days of my career. This post was obviously the inspiration for King James (not Lebron) blog, as the first two quotes are taken word for word from my post on BJ21, I guess in an attempt to belittle me. Not sure what his issue is but I was hardly 'commiserating'. Anyone that is familiar with my posts on various sites, know, that I have shared my experiences both good and bad throughout my career, in the hopes that my experiences may help other members, just as I have benefited so much from other members sharing their experiences.

Again, I am not sure what the issue is/was for James. Perhaps I should feel honored that the 'great one' took time to personally belittle, little old me, but I don't. I just feel sad. Sad for James. Sad that this community is like this, with so many examples. I just don't get it. I really don't.

According to the title I thought you were about to preach the gospel for a second or were about to turn a new card in life with a religious experience you must have endured recently. Quite the contrary. It was only 5 days ago when I thought I was about to be run over by speeding vehicles as I was changing out a flat tire on the side of the road as cars sped by... just to get to a BJ game. That would have been a tragic way to lose my life. Back-to-back 5 figure losses is a big hit to a bankroll. What is your game plan to get back on track?

It as 5 weeks ago and I have already made up that amount, swung well above it and then back. But that is not the point.

Losing isn't any fun, I hate losing and cannot stand it. I imagine you don't either KJ. I took a small loss on my latest trip but I'm not going to beat myself up over it. Just like that article you posted the link to, I'm looking at what mistakes I made and what I can do or should do to improve my chances on my next outing. This loss hasn't made me want to quit the game or has not discouraged me, because what I lost I know I can make back. I've only been practicing more since I've been back home, regrouped and cleared my thoughts.

So you think he was taking a jab at you? Maybe he admires you and that is why he used you as an example.

Could be because you are one of the few confident enough to post of your losses as well as your gains. "Hollywood" stars can't afford to do that.

We'll see what kind of man he is when he comes to apologize to you.

Seems like a low blow to quote forum where people feel like they are having discussion
    with friendly, like minded people.
i haven't read his book and he may be some kind of a genius but he seems like a...
not nice person. Maybe he is trying to get attention here where he might have audience
for his books? I thought it was very brave of you to admit your losses.
    congrats on winning it back.

I have felt that way many times KJ. As you said, there are many examples. We APs are a salty bunch, to be sure. It could have to do with with spending so much time in casinos. Attitude is contagious.

Well I'm glad you share your experiences, positive and negative KJ. Sometimes standard deviation takes its toll. I think the experience reflects some of the human element of the trade. It can be taxing and stressful, in addition to triumphant and thrilling. The distressing post-honeymoon period of holy rollers sticks out in my mind a lot more than the successes, for example.

    I'm not touching this one!

Mr. Grosjean has his audience and it's not card counters.
It's just too bad it had to be at KJ's expense.
    Hold tight KJ!
Life is short so hit it hard!
