    Hitting after split A's

So I was in Tunica a couple of weeks ago playing at a $5 6D table and the dealer was letting us take more than one hit after splitting A's. At first I thought the dealer made a mistake, but then other dealers let another couple of people do it (that I saw) Does this happen? I didnt know that this was a possible rule variation.

rare variation, not sure on the exact number but I imagine it helps your edge a decent amount. The real question is if they let you rehit aces, can you double them too?

yeah, make sure it doesn't have a CSM for the shoe / or blackjack pays 6:5 or something like that... sometimes they put those on the tables and let you do other things in it's place / and a CSM or 6:5 pretty much cancels out any advantage to rule variations I can think of...

CSM's don't negate rule advantages. They just make card counting useless. Give me the right rules and I will play a CSM until the cows come home.

    These rules do exist

My local casino has S17, DAS, resplit to 4 hands including splitting aces. Split aces can be doubled on the first hit or re-hit multiple times. They have DD and 6D tables with these rules. Sometimes the penetration is even good.

Being able to hit split aces on 6 deck DOA, DAS, NS, Hit Split Aces reduces the house edge from -.615 to -.431

Hitting after splitting A's is allowed in Spanish 21. Any chance this was Spanish?

    There is nothing to learn.
If you have a CSM game with rules that give the player an off the top advantage then you can flat bet playing basic strategy and you would be playing a winning game.
