    Should I get casino verite

Im trying to decide whether I should get casino verite. I am a recreational player who is just trying to get an edge by learning to count. I have been using HiLo and have learned alot from this forum. And I have been told a million times that I need to get casino verite, but when I hear people talking about how they used casino verite, I dont always understand what they are talking about.

So I am wondering, why do I need it? Like, what will I use it for that I cant use the free game on this site, or some other site?

Yes you should get it. You can't live without it.

muckz, I can use the advanced strategies in demo mode. The difference is the 5s are replaced by 6s.

I'm not that familiar with other software packages that simulate play. I can tell you that CVBJ has a variety of drills, like Counting and Deck estimation drills that will really sharpen your skills and increase your speed, for different counting systems, rules, and playing scenarios. It has good performance monitoring, feedback, and metrics as you play or drill. You might not use or appreciate all it's features at this stage of your development, but sooner or later, you'll wish you had it. CVBJ and CVCX are smart investments to make early in your development.

Thought he was talking about "free game" that's on the top bar on this page, not cvbj demo.

You can click on them, it reverts back to basic strategy every time though.

Essential software for the serious player putting real money at risk. Buy the complete package including CVData, CVCX, and Casino Verite.

CVCX is software to compare games and their effect upon risk given your bankroll and to develop optimum betting strategies. CVBJ is software to practice your in-game casino skills (counting, deck estimation, etc). CVData is a simulation program that enables you to create and do in depth study of various betting strategies and other questions that might arise from the game

i'll try not to cover what's already described at qfit.com. To me, CVBJ is a training tool (and not a video game). It gives you a platform to not only acquire skills, but to keep them fresh and sharp. CVCX is a tool for analyzing different counting systems, games, rules, penetration, bet schedules, and bankroll scenarios to predict your EV, variance/standard deviation, and Risk. This allows you to get an instinct and understanding of how your advantage and risk vary given the myriad of different variables that go into your performance. Understanding how your performance will vary under the different game conditions will become very important as you progress from learning the mechanics and mental skills of counting, to the art of game evaluation, selection, and management that make up a very large part of being serious at this activity.

So it sounds like maybe I should get CVBJ first and practice my basic strategy and counting skills, and then once I get more involved I can buy CVCX to start developing my game. Does that sound about right?
