    Blackjack Players Vs. Casinos

Obviously, for anyone that has trust issues with information for blackjack play, that individual can derive their own information to how to best play blackjack through whatever means they can muster (math, statistics, simulations, casino experience, etc.). BUT THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT WHAT AN INDIVIDUAL CAN DO ON THEIR OWN.

This thread is about POSSIBLE large scale damage to the ENTIRE blackjack community. This thread is about POSSIBLE ongoing damage to serious blackjack players ON A LARGE SCALE. This thread is about TRYING to have a MATURE THOUGHTFUL DISCUSSION about the POSSIBILITY that there could be a wealth of MISINFORMATION being fed to blackjack players through the internet and books. YES, much information found on the internet and in books are CERTAIN to weave much TRUTH. BUT, it would not take much disinformation sprinkled in to ADD to the casino's edge.

This SHOULD be a concern for anyone that puts money down on a casino table. This IS a RELEVANT ISSUE for the blackjack players' community and SENSIBLE input from ALL ANGLES is WELCOME. I AM NOT POINTING FINGERS AT ANYONE (except at the casinos), I just want to have a mature, thoughtful, and sensible discussion regarding the POSSIBILITY of being fed slight misinformation in order to make casinos more wealthy.

Don't be NAIVE, we all have heard true stories where wealthy business people/companies have used ruthless tactics in order to continue to be wealthy. I remember back in the 90's watching a 60 Minutes segment on TV, where un-named fast food companies paid outside sources to spread misinformation about health related to fast food. In military war (and yes this is war for the casinos) misinformation is constantly fed to the enemies as truth. It is VERY EASY to write something that sounds so good and so truthful that it is EASY 'to just believe it'. Don't be naïve, people can be merciless in the pursuit of money.

One might even say I work for the casinos. If you do, that is a good start. Discussion opened.

Misinformation exists, just not to a serious blackjack player. Only a fool would blindly trust information given, especially concerning a long term, high risk, asset growing opportunity. Your posts are ridiculous, go research for yourself. I mean really how can 2 low cards missing from a single deck give us an advantage. We all know James Grosjean his trials and Exhibit CAA were all a setup so that <1% of casino patrons can lose all their money.

@muckz: "Misinformation exists, just not to a serious blackjack player." - So a serious blackjack player can never be fooled by information?

Have you been taking a beating on the tables Fate? Are you tired of the casinos raping your wallet? Go to your local casino and go to the BJ pits and study the players, there you will see that the players don't need any misinformation at all, they do it to themselves with no help needed at all.

@muckz: "Only a fool would blindly trust information given, especially concerning a long term, high risk, asset growing opportunity." So my concern is for the 'fools' out there. I would guess that there is a high amount of people that learn about blackjack online and through books and never question that information. This makes casinos richer. So who are you for, the fool, the casinos, or just for yourself with no care about anyone else. Many blackjack 'experts' warn about hoaxes, scams, and wrong information (such as progression schemes, etc); I'm doing no more than the 'experts' in warning potential 'fools'.

@muckz: "Your posts are ridiculous, go research for yourself." I have researched, and I will continue to research. Ridiculous? Why? What makes this thread I started ridiculous? Educate me, genius.

Suckers keep casino's in business, no AP wants the casino's to go away. There is likely a good amount of people on this forum that would have no problem with fools losing their money, look at posts where people try do give out table information in public. AP's protect their games. I didn't decide to start playing blackjack because I wanted to find an objective meaning in life, I did it for a challenge and profit. I could care less about what others do. I try to help people when I can because I was the one who needed help before. As I said before anybody who would blindly trust information when concerning a high risk, long term, asset building opportunity would most likely not have the assets to even begin a journey such as blackjack.

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
