A similar question about surveillance; does anyone know if chain casinos in Vegas use a common surveillance system for different properties? I always wonder about one particular off-strip chain (local hangout with a railroad theme) since I play hit-and-run unrated & often play several properties of that chain, same day.

I believe that each casino licensee has to have it's own surveillance department. Some casinos (example Venetian/Palazzo, Paris/Ballys) are essentially one big casino under a single license. You can tell because the chips are mixed in the chip rack. In that situation it's a safe assumption that these joints have a single surveillance room.
