Sports betting
Anybody want to have a go at determining the edge behind this?
What is you're edge if you were able to parlay a first half over with the game over.
For example, Ohio state over 60 first half, Ohio state game over 132. Parlay paying 2.5 to 1, no vig, push and win = win original wager.

Assuming the over/under is actually 50/50 the true odds payout is 3:1.

Not necessarily. They could both be fair bets separately and yet have lower true odds for the combined bet than you'd calculate for independent bets because in this case the bets are obviously correlated. If you roll a single die once, even money bets on over 3.5 and on even are both obviously fair bets, but the fair price for the combined bet is 2:1, not 3:1 because the outcomes of the separate bets are not independent of one another. I'm no sports expert though, so I can't help beyond that. Just wanted to clear up that error.
