You are either 100% screwed or 100% ok in this scenario. They know already and by the way, I disagree that most dealers have no idea. The worst thing you can do is get up and leave right away. The best thing you can do is be nice and toke big. I disagree that most of these dealers will try to rat you out for a promotion as most sharp enough to count and deal at the same time know that isn't happening anyway. Furthermore if they just want to rat you out, why would they mention that they know what you are doing? They would be better off signaling the floor.

How likely you are to be screwed depends on the jurisdiction and race of the dealer. If this is a new casino doing well and a young white or black male dealer you are ok most of the time. These tend to be the most likely to spot you. In my experience most of these guys don't particularly like their rmployer, sometimes used to count themsleves, and are hoping you win. On the other hand if it is an older Asian you are better off not sitting the game at all to begin with, but you are almost definitely hosed. Generally these types won't say anything but are pretty obvious when they have caught on anyway, usually you will see them try to signal the floor etc. The attitude of the dealer is just extremely important to any advantage play.

I once had this happen to me in AC of all places at spanish 21. got absolutely hammered one shoe and the dealer knew what I was doing. I was getting up to leave but the dealer said "nah it's cool they don't care here you should try to win it back" and cut the next shoe to 20 cards in an 8 deck game. For a second I thought it was a ploy to set up the EITS but I have played rated at that casino several times since with no issues.

By the way, if the floor is asking these questions you should always act dumb. They are more likely to be fishing in that scenario. If one of them starts taking an interest I like to make a couple of random moves. For example spread to two hands of big bets when the count drops.

I am more in agreement with Flash, Do not trust the dealer . They can and would likely turn on you when it's the right time to do so. you can and would probably meet them somewhere else(casino)Dealers can be friendly ,but who knows what will happen next.i will treat them nice if they treat me nice ,otherwise just move on.

What if some dealer or ploppy ask you at the table if you are a "pro" or "counting" ,just right in your face.We all know a counter does not mean a professional by a long shot. There are only few pure pro cc.

I say it's Bull$hit on how likely the race of the dealer has anything to do with the player getting screwed at the BJ tables. So was this your thinking process before you sat down at this particular table? If so then why the hell did you sit down in the first place? That's why I call BS on that statement. Being Asian myself I can tell you that Asians hate their employer just like the next man. Look at the Tran gang as an example and how they corrupted dealers if you don't believe me.

Since you playing an 8 deck game and in deep, the only thing I would have asked you is could you have found a better game? After getting hammered it seems like the dealer propositioned you for a more than fair chance to get your money back if you really wanted to put your skills to the test in an 8D game. This dealer had some balls! Seems like the dealer won that battle.

It very situational ,I have seen both sides of this assumption. I believed Asian are more protective of their job so the rationale seems correct ,yet generalization doesnt always work .I would say access all the info that's given by the dealer, ethic, age, education, background, small info from conversation with this person, interest, body language,etc.......

I play against dealers who know what I want and then go all out to deliver it on a silver plate. Best you do likewise.

This is great advice. I have quite a few dealers that know what I want and do their best to deliver. I had them say thats the best I can do today. They are cracking down on pen or corporate is on the grounds today. Next time I go back I find pleasing conditions.

I do not want to push it too much, some of these dealers share tip as company policy. As for garbage stores or stores that are a sweat shops.I would love to get them really bad (hoping for some other methods)or use someone that i hired to put it right in their face( use creativity)!!! If i can afford it ,i would hire people with a $100 -$200 use just talk to them and ask them very sensitive question at a full table on a friday night. Maybe even get them to do some very crude counting yet spread like a maniac. 1-60 or even 80 spread.

As casino think they make $$ legally and while preying on the weakness of people. I am also making $$$ legally while exploiting the weakness of certain games. How are we different ?
