    Football World Cup

Way off topic, but I have a question for you americans.
Is the football (or soccer) world cup something that is followed in the us?
Does it generate interest in the general population?
And finally, do you think an online game where the objective would be to guess the results of the games would be something companies there would be interested in hiring for their employees to play between them?
    Thanks

    No to all 3.

I'm sorry but at leastwhere I'm from no one cares.
Personally I love it but am pretty alone in that aspect.

A small following. There aren't many that notice but the ones that do are pretty passionate about it.

Futbol is fairly unpopular in the States. The general populace doesn't care about it, and even though the people who do care seem rather passionate, I would have to say their passion is far less than that of European or Latin American fans.

However, I will say with regards to your online game idea (assuming I understood correctly, as I'm not exactly sure by your grammar): major corporations (i.e. international banks, consulting companies, law firms) in the States do tend to hire a disproportionately high amount of European and Asian foreigners who are naturally more likely to be more passionate about soccer. If you pitched your idea to focus to these sorts of companies, it might find some success. Overall, though, it might be a bit too niche. Good luck at any rate.

There are approximately 52,000,000 Hispanic people in the US which is approximately 16 percent of the total population. To the Hispanic community, football means soccer.
