Lowest limit or wonging out at higher limit

    Hello,
I'm headed for this weekend armed with copy of latest CBJN.
i have a two part question.
My question is with a small bankroll, is it better to go play at the lowest
limit places ($3-$5) with good rules or just stay on the strip playing $10 tables with
good rules and wonging out at TC about -2?

i would rate myself as late beginner. I have almost always 100% accuracy keeping track of running count with 2 deck and 94-96% accuracy with 6 deck.
(I thought it was better until I got Norm's software)
My deck estimation is only accurate to like a quarter deck.
Is this good enough or am I not ready to jump the guns?

    thank you

Even on low limit games you should be wonging out. This is a question best answered by using CVCX.

94-96% accuracy? You'd better substantially improve that before playing in a casino.

If your plan is to play 6D off the top and wong out at TC-2 you will be playing too many hands at a disadvantage. You won't be able to overcome the negative EV with a safe spread on a small bankroll.

    And improve your counting.

Staying in til -2 is too risky for you. The house has a small edge at TC 0. Do your best to avoid all negative counts.

I will play $3-5 games and wong out at negative counts ( I think only a handful
have good rules at that limit) and report back.
if you don't hear back, that means I lost my shirt and I am hiding under a rock.

Your average ev is only $5.40 to $9.00 per hour for shoe game. So don't tip the dealers or at most $1 when you win and leave.

    Hello,
Reporting from last night in Vegas.
i got here past midnight last night.
played early in the morning on the strip,
had someone drop me off at Boulder highway casinos
    and took bus to downtown.
i did okay, averaged about $28/hour playing
    $5 and $10 games ( I know I probably got very lucky)
Not surprisingly I did much better playing double deck than six deck, where my accuracy
needs improvement. I did much better at lower limits because I was not so nervous.
i realize that for me, atmosphere has a lot to do with how. I do.
whether people are supportive, whether there is loud pulsing music with dancing girls right next to me,etc.
i need to work up to a level where I am oblivious to these things, I guess.
i think I would have done better if I just walked away from places that weren't working for me right off.
thank you all for your suggestions. I did try to walk away from negative counts and played lower limits.

there is a lot of time lost to find good games with low limits.
i think having bigger bankroll and perfecting the game would make it more financially worthwhile to travel here.
i did enjoy myself with my family here. The strip is very beautiful now with all the Chinese New Year decorations.

Congratulations ahjooma! I'm glad to hear you won. I have been wondering how you were doing.

I hope you managed to grab a red envelope while you were there so you'll have good luck all year.

I like story's like this you asked for advice took it and did ok. Remember variance was on your side
but it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. I see so many people come here and ask for advice and then tell the people that gave them advice there wrong and there gonna do it there way. Then there is never a report back (they lost there as*). The players on here (the long time posters are some of the best there is take there advice and keep at your game. Also there is a good write up on practice some where in the threads. Practice your count with tv or radio on loud.
