Exclamation Mistakes in the Basic strategy

    Dear my friends,

I play Bj just for 3 months with Counting and Basic Strategy. But the BS says that when you have a ten you have to do this and this. But there is a big difference between a 10 and 6 with 4 or 7 and 3. These cards have different values. But the basic strategy don´t make a differnce between the sum of your handy values. So, how do you play with such cards?

You should look into composition dependent strategies.

These are not "mistakes" in basic strategy. All strategies are compromises, and basic strategy is obviously meant to be basic. If that were not true, basic strategy would have to take into account every card seen in the shoe to compute exact plays. And, in face-down games, it would have to take into account all actions of other players based on their previous play along with all cards seen in the shoe to calculate the odds of what their unseen cards are.

There is an index that covers every scenario but it is simply not worth it for the amount you have to learn and the mistakes that can occur remembering all of them. I just use the Illustrius 18 and the Fab 4 and so do many better AP's than me.

That is not what the question is about.
