What is an ace worth as your starting card in Spanish?
Doing a little reading in some books and they say that "Spanish 21" is something to avoid. Not sure what the consensus here is but I played about a half a dozen hands at a store with a volcano in front of it once and won all my hands. I had no idea what I was playing at the time though! LOL!

The amount like BJ depends on the deck composition.
It is worth the same as regular BJ for BJs.
It is worth more than BJ in its use in:
Multicard hand bonuses for getting 21 in 5 (3:2 payoff), 6 (2:1 payoff) or 7+ cards (3:1 payoff).
You can hit and double on split aces.
I would think it would be far more valuable in Spanish 21 than in regular BJ.
