As for me, I'm about 6 standard deviations in the red from where I should be. Awesome. I have to take a hiatus from playing until I do some replenishing.
Could really use some words of encouragement now.
I am a little in the black, which is better than last year, when I didn't hit black until mid April, when I went on a massive run. But basically, I haven't really gotten rolling yet, playing only about half my normal rounds for the month so far. I have been training and working with a second partner and frankly that has consumed a lot of time. He hasn't picked it up as well as I hoped. I am not really cut out for teaching/mentoring, but hopefully he will come around as time goes on.
I also have been dealing with a medical issue, Melanoma. Had two minor surgeries to remove tumors, but just got the final 'all clear' yesterday, so look out Vegas casinos.....I'm about to turn it up a notch!
Don't know what to say, hitthat16....hang in there. If you are playing a +EV game, things will turn at some point.
December was good for me--was up 125 units that month before a 35 unit downswing at the end of the year. In 3 trips this month I'm up just over 50 while also up nearly 30 units worth at poker. Part of that was due to circumstances at work (I'm just a rec player)--I felt financially comfortable to "take a shot" and play a higher game than normal one trip and it turned out well. I'm definitely going back to my normal play/unit my next trip.
Vaya con Dios...
2013 was break even for me, first week of january I was up 474 units, second week 640 units down, third week 270 units up, the debacle was day before yesterday, almost 300 units down in a single session. The path we choose is very hard...
I hate to win a couple units in each session, between 40 and 80 units per session, but when I lose, I lose most of my bankroll session, between 200 and 300 units, it's just me? what about you guys?
Blackjack will test your soul, your character, and the very fiber of your being.
