    Starting Up

    Hey Guys,
I am new to the BJ community, so please excuse my stupidity. I was wondering what I can expect by starting out with only $1000 BR (I am using the term bankroll loosely. I guess its more of a 'trip BR'. I can have a bigger bankroll once I get more comfortable and confident with my play). I was going to wong in and out on +3 TC and -1 TC. I am using the HiLo system and plan to average $15 a hand (I've now been convinced that the smallest table bet possible is best), adjusting my bets with the count. I was hoping to get some pointers (how much to change my bet with TC, should I even think about heat with such low betting) and wondering what I can expect (going bankrupt, making $50-100 a session).

    Any suggestions will help.

Edit: I understand that ROR will be great with $1000. I am not trying to make a career, I just want to have a slight advantage over the casino when I go.

Edit: When I make my trip, I will be sticking to the smallest possible tables.

Edit: Game is h17, 8 dk, 3-2 BJ, 80% pen, DAS, Double any number (I hope to find a single or double deck game)

About Blackjack: The Forum

BJTF is an advantage player site based on the principles of comity. That is, civil and considerate behavior for the mutual benefit of all involved. The goal of advantage play is the legal extraction of funds from gaming establishments by gaining a mathematic advantage and developing the skills required to use that advantage. To maximize our success, it is important to understand that we are all on the same side. Personal conflicts simply get in the way of our goals.
