    CVDATA: Understanding Hand Totals

I’d like to verify my interpretation of hand totals in CVDATA. Here’s an example:

    Hands
    Total
    Player Tot Initial Hands 2,000,000,000
    Total Played 2,055,857,408
    Diff 55,857,408
    Ins. 12,165,782
    Splits 104,886,328
    Soft DD 38,525,408
    Hard DD 179,506,784
    All DD 218,032,192
    Dealer BJ 94,865,000
The number of split hands is greater than the difference between Initial and Played hands. Is this because each split frequently adds roughly one additional hand to the total hands played? So, if we say that there were 105E6 splits then the number of added hands is roughly 104E6/2= 52E6 plus a bit more for resplits, giving approx 2,000E6 + 52E6 ~ 2052E6. This is close to the Total Played. Is this a correct interpretation?
