this question of yours is critical.
I told them that I have studied the game for years that I lived and played in las vegas for years and that I play a weak system as you know, uston advanced plus minus, but I told them that I think I might have an edge or play about even. I told them that I don't expect to win, but that I think I can sustain myself for a substantial time and that I really just want to sustain and break even and that I want the comps, that I am playing for the comps and the sizzle.
I also told them that I am really under capitalized and that my br is not as high as it should be. concurrently it is $13,500 and I bet as much as 2 hands at $150 each sometimes. I don't feel comfortable, I would like to have $20,000.
I usually keep the bets max at 2 hands at $100 each however.
I point out that I could lose my br totally and that I am prepared to face that.
I really know that they don't understand the game as well as I or you all do. but they encourage me and say that they don't think I am going to win but they think I might be able to sustain and get the comps and the sizzle.
I am 69 years of age with illnesses. they want me to play bj as a sport and to improve my mental and physical condition so I can be sharp and healthier.
    they encourage me.
I seem to be more concerned then they do.
your question haunts me because I would like to sustain this but I feel I am in danger.
lately I have played for 1 1/2 years, about 15 visits to the casino and I am ahead about $3,000.
I am happy with this result and the comps.
I go to the casino for trips lasting 2 to 3 days each.
I go to only one casino who are angels and saints with the conditions they provide.
but this is precarious, putting all my eggs in one basket. I am worried if they change their conditions to higher heat.
I am in wheel chair and they are very accommodating, saints and angels I would say. they are this way to everyone, not just me.

thank you zen and you all for your interest and question. I do need help.
I wish I could learn better system but it is too much at this time. I think I need to stay with uston adv plus minus.

my doctors never say that I should not do this. they seem to be encouraging. they are thinking outside the box on this. my eating habits have not been good and they want to find a motivator to get me in shape. my therapist tells me that people don't take care of themselves to be healthy. they take care of themselves for other reasons, love, romance, for a sport etc. in my case they hope I will take care of myself so I can sustain a blackjack game.

    please advise.

Sorry to hear that, just keep it up and stay positive. Being positive is everything, especially in a game such as blackjack, believe in the math and it will take you places. But why don't you learn hi lo then? It's just as easy and more effective

I agree on the last part about not taking care of yourself be healthy. Some people do but the reality is we need a motivator to focus. I am competive in Golf and played tournaments for many years. I worked out and practiced hard and got in great shape but I didn't work out to be healthy, I did it because it would help me compete at my best. It's the same with losing weight or quitting smoking. I believe it's difficult but you can do it if you really deep inside are committed to it. I play blackjack similar to you currently. I play for comps and make some money. I love the challenge of AP and do it part time for the competitve continous learning aspect and a distraction from the other stresses of life.

Best of luck with your health and blackjack!
