Roulette has the property that no matter what you bet on and in what amounts, inside or outside, the EV of your total bet remains the same.

Care to elaborate? I assume you're alluding to something beyond the simple probabilities of the wheel.

It is not true in the same way the probability of being dealt a natural at a blackjack table is not the same with a high count and ace packed shoe than with a low count and ace deficient one.

I dont think anyone who understands this will elaborate much more... But you are one of the smartest cats in here so im sure youll get it.

I suspect Ouchez is just refering to either the basket bet (higher edge) or en prison (lower edge).

I know, but Ouchez said his intent was "not at all" beyond the simple probabilities.

My dear friend Nyne, I am glad you are posting here as I think you are a most competent AP, and I know this based on personal observation.

Now, My statement in question can be taken in two different ways,,, but,, that is not important as we will all agree that blanket generalizations are usually-- wrong

It's just a manifestation of my general inexperience with the game. I didn't know about the basket bet and was only considering how the other bets are simply shortcuts for covering various subsets of the numbers. Always learning.
