    The eye roll

I had the opportunity to play a lot this past weekend at stores I don't usually get to go to.

I must have split 9s at least 30 times this weekend, and every single time the dealer rolled their eyes at me. Sometimes another player would chime in as well with "noooo no no!"

I know that dealers and other players don't matter, but seriously does anyone bother to check out a basic strategy chart?

No, they don't. I seldom hear the term "basic strategy" in a casino. They usually refer to "the book", and most believe it was written by the casino, so they disregard it.

Don't you love it when the guy that's losing like crazy criticizes the play of the guy making money. I get a lot of comments that make me uncomfortable in addition to the ploppy chastising. The comments are statements that are not accurate but notice a trend after sharing a table enough times like, "He always wins" or "I wish I could play like him". Then the floor comes over and tells them I am trend betting or some other ideas that my camo was designed to cultivate. Then you get the APs that get up after a short time to move to another table and complement you on your game instincts as they go.

Yeah it's amazing. Blackjack has been around so long and people actually believe "the book" was written by casinos to mess up the player. So then the player ignores that strategy because he knows that you can't do what the casino says in order to win, and yet the casinos keep winning... Hmmmmmm...

If you can come up with a persona' where others feel it is better to just not F#c# with you, I believe you are better off. Others running their mouths at your play is never a good thing.

That actually pisses me off the most about dealers. We are there to "gamble" in their eyes so why don't they just respect our play and shut the hell up. They are living off gamblers!!

The reason why those players lose is because others ruin the flow of the cards by jumping in and out or hit/stand when they "shouldn't be".

Well I had a woman sitting at the table with me today who said from 3rd base to 1st base .... " Ohhhh I just love watching you play. Every time you have a lot of money on the table you win". That's when I got up and left.
