    Short LV Trips

Found round trip flight cheapest I've seen for awhile to LV for $170 total fri-sun. Total cost of trip with food (assuming no comps whatsoever) would be around $400-500. I have savings of 4k+replenishable BR of 6k/yr...while it's not horrific if i lost 3k of the 4k cash, I'd prefer to keep it intact haha (9-5er is slow earnings). Been counting for only a couple of months and still playing around with RoR, counting locally for practice, etc...but trying to determine if this trip will even be worth it as a red chipper. I could view this trip as a getaway+learning experience, but would like to have a chance to negate some costs of a free trip. As a red chipper, I've read you have to spread hella big to even "begin" to make minimum wage. I've found a list of games around the strip (although not amazing)...also, I used to play poker. Are these types of trips even worth going on as primarily a counter when playing small? Should I go and spread $5-80 or $10-100? Figured I would have most of the night into early hours of Fri/Sat before I'd have to take a nap of some sort, and then could play all rest of day Sat/early Sun before flight. Basically pulling an MIT but wayyyy lower stakes. Any suggestions on trip bankroll? I've been working with calcs but get stuck on if I can really do much with this size of roll, and how I should be treating the game for myself as a 9-5er with replenishable. I'm itching to leave town at a cheap cost, but really would like to profit...and not spend 2k lol. Would trips like these need to be stretched 3-4 days? Flustered as there's only 1 ticket left

Example of one spread, $5-50 with $12 avg bet, 50 hands/hr (should be way higher), 1.25% avg adv, this says 12 hrs 95% of time should be +961 to -673...but I don't have enough shoe experience to know what calcs are correct. FWIW, I will be playing mainly 6d games...can practice DD before then, but more comfortable with 6d. Using Hi/Lo

You should invest in CVCX to know your exact trip and BR ROR, and your trip EV for X number of forecasted hours played. It gives me alot more confidence planning trips (or deciding not to go due to bad games).

I red chip in Vegas driving from Socal for about 100 bucks gas. Spreading 5 to 30-40, or 10-60 at various Station casinos DD games. They have the games a low stakes BR works with.. Or.. Strictly Wong the six deck games. Get CBJN to help find the best games.

My EV is around $450.00 per 3-4-5 day trip so I go with the knowledge I probably at best will break even with expenses. That's just how it is with a low stakes bank roll. I would go with the goal of playing a strong low stakes learning game but not expect to profit more than expenses. Or save more BR before you go... Again, CVCX shows you the expectation, then you can decide what to do.

Bunch of good DD games and playable 6D at off-strip casinos (mostly Station properties). Anything on the strip is pretty hard to play (for low stakes).

Playing rated has its pluses and minuses, of course, especially in Vegas. If you plan on playing big in the future, a card isn't worth it. If you plan to always play at low stakes, then a player's card could work out -- since you can pretty much always get a free meal. Take caution.

I already have cards for most of strip properties. I've just always gambled for fun in the past, and have yet to invest in the software. Didn't really want to get the software once I found out I may have to put it on the backburner until I save up more of a roll. Man, life without poker in the USA sucks
